What Have You Been Pinning Lately?

What have you been pinning lately?  I'm pretty random when it comes to what I save, but undoubtedly there will always be mint and sea foam tones in my "likes".  Below are some of my recent faves:

Featured on Wedding Chicks via Danielle Fletcher Photography

Just a little mention on the Wedding Chicks blog this past Monday and I thought I'd share, super excited.  Danielle Fletcher- one of the most AMAZING photographers (seriously visit her site, her work, her humor, personality- you'll agree), captured gorgeous shots in her "Day after shoot".  Girl is a styling Queen too, with impeccable taste.

I designed a Mr. and Mrs. banner for her shoot and absolutely love the way she had the couple wrap it around them- absolutely dreamy.

Thanks Danielle for being awesome!  So glad to have been a small part in this beautiful shoot! xoxo

Q&A - From Life Love and Marriage

I've been tagged- by Faith of Life, Love & Marriage!  How exciting, I'm not a huge Q&A girl and actually don't think I've ever posted one on my blog, but I'm so excited to be included.  Here goes- a little more insight into me!

1. If you could be given ANY gift what would it be?
To design and build my dream home and fully furnish it- on someone else's dime.  It would be the best experience to share with my husband, as well as the ultimate challenge in my design career (it's always more difficult when you design for yourself rather than a client)!

2. What is your favorite TV show of all time?
Of all time?  My So Called Life.  Currently I love watching the newly re-vamped Hawaii Five-O

3. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be?
Ireland

4. What is your favorite item of clothing and why?
Any scarf- I can throw them on to dress up or dress down any outfit, the best trick in my book.

5. Apple juice or orange juice?
Apple, but if the orange is pulp-free, I'd gladly drink either.

6. What is usually your first thought when you wake up?
I ask myself "Why can't I wear these sweat pants all day long, whhhhhhyyyyy????" - I'm in love with my sweats.

7. Name 1 thing you miss about being a kid.
Riding bikes to 7-11 (sometimes shoeless) to get candy and slurpees.  I also miss Little Ceasar's Bigfoot pizzas, something about those square-cut pieces were the shiz.  So there's 4 things- I cheated.

8. Name 1 thing you love about being an adult.
Being able to make split second decisions and last minute plans to go anywhere I want.  Maybe this is because I'm a non-parent (ask me again once I have children, I'll have to change my answer).

9. What's your favorite song of the moment?
Young Blood by the Naked and Famous - the energy of the music reminds me of the early days of when I was dating my now husband- skate boarding, summers at the beach, camping, being silly, doing whatever the heck we wanted (before the responsibility of life kicked in).

10. Do you have any hidden talents?
Hmmmm, not really hidden.  I learned how to cross-stitch at age 10, and have never forgotten the craft.  Weird? Hmmm.

11. What would be your dream job?
A stay-at-home Mommy

12. What's your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Anything with my husband, spending some down time either grabbing pizza at our fave spot in OB, riding beach cruisers, getting Starbucks, or just hanging out in comfy clothes lounging on the chaise lounge with my laptop.

I'm supposed to come up with new questions to tag more bloggers, sadly I'm not sure if I even have 10-12 bloggers who still read my blog??- I'm trying to be a better poster, really I am.  Hopefully Faith can forgive me.  I think she came up with some excellent questions, don't you?

Coastal Colors

D and I went for an early morning bike ride yesterday, it was so nice to get out again on the beach cruisers on a cool morning and ride both beach side and bay side.  It's no wonder why one can be drawn to certain colors, because we are surrounded by them in nature, we are drawn to use and reference them in life.  We snapped this photo along our way and found it to be 100% perfect (can you see the couple holding hands in the far left corner)?

Tomorrow I'll be sharing a bit of fun questionnaire answers- I was tagged by Faith of Life Love & Marriage and shall do my blogger duty of posting the replies.

Have a great start to your week!

Happy Friday!

Wrapping up the CO photos- I'd love to fly down this snowy hill again, rather than going to work today.

Love That Place

Oh my.  Looky here.  This amazing Etsy shop designs watercolor maps of several different States, Provinces, and Countries in a variety of colors.  Best part, the artist will place the heart wherever you'd like (WHAT!!!?!)- I love this.  I just declared to D that we need this painting of the islands, heart set on Maui near Makena, hands down, done deal.  Beautiful.

Swinging Back

Well hello there, it's been a while.  Like I mentioned last week- I'm on a mission to get blogging again.  It's time to myself to catch up with you all, to be supportive and stay creative, to share things and keep connected.  I really do miss it.  Even among hectic days, I'm going to try to keep with it!

I haven't provided a recap yet of our Colorado trip, but will share a few photos of our stay.  Whenever we take a vacation, time seems to get distorted.  I don't know what it is....weird.  We had a snowy Colorado Christmas (and a sick Christmas actually).  The kiddos (my nephews) were sick upon our arrival and whatever the bug was, I caught it, my sister caught it, and my Mom caught it on Christmas day.  The Good Lord was looking out for D and my brother-in-law, as they steered clear- I think D was spared because it was his birthday  :)  In any case, I had never felt so awful in my life and felt so bad for D that I couldn't help to make his special birthday a fun one.  We didn't have cake that day (the cake my sis and I spent hours baking the day before), or the pecan french toast we prepped the night before, as the sight and smell of food stirred up the nausea x 5!  Oh gosh, but the next day we felt well enough to head up to Keystone for our mountain adventure- thank goodness!  It seemed to only have been a 24 hour bug.  In any case, here are a few memories from our Winter vacay!

Tandem Tubing- awesome!

More to come!

What..Mid Jan.??!!

Ummmmm............is it almost mid Jan. already?  I made myself a teeny promise to try to keep my blog a bit more consistent this year and so far I've racked up a whopping 1 post.  Sweet.

Anyhow, will try.  Really, I will.  And this year, I've decided to follow up on all the projects/post from last year that may have been left hanging.  Yeah- there were a few.

Be back real soon to keep it real :)

Happy 2012!

I'm returning from relaxation, vacay, and a little chaos (just being real)- hope you all had a lovely New Year!  I peaced out a little early from the blog to prepare for our snowy Christmas trip to Colorado, lots of fun photos to share soon.

Hope everyone is off to a great start (I've already been back to work as of yesterday- no surprise), yet I'm wishing I had just a bit more time off.  Don't you always need a vacation after a vacation?  Would be nice.

Happy beginning to 2012!
